Li Zhigang, male, was born in 1976. His research interests are strategic management and entrepreneurial management. He received doctorate from Nankai University in 2006, and then taught at Management College of Ocean University of China. In 2010, he went to the University of Toronto as a postdoctoral researcher and worked in marketing and human resource management in Yili Group and Mengniu Dairy.
He is currently Deputy Director of Management College of Ocean University of China, Deputy Director of the Research Center for Management Innovation and Environmental Strategy, Deputy Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Center, and a peer review expert of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He gives lectures on “Principles of Management" for undergraduates, "Seminar on Business Administration" for postgraduates, “Seminar on Business Strategy” for MBA / EMBA, etc.; he successively conducted management training and management consulting for China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, CRRC, CSIC, Haier Group, Hisense Group, FAW Qingdao, China Post Guangxi, Qinghai Provincial Tax Service, Zhonghai Bitumen, SEPCO, Qingdao East Steel Tower Stock Co, Ltd., Hualu·Hengsheng, Linshang Bank, Qingdao Water Group, Dagang Oilfield, Rizhao Port Group, President Training Class of Peking University, Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Human Resource and Social Security, Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Chifeng City, Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Jiaozuo City, the National Linyi Economic and Technological Development Area, National Marine Data Information Center, SUFE Qingdao Wealth Management Institute, etc.; he presided over China (Qingdao) SCO + Trade and Investment Liberalization Facilitation Forum (2018) and he was invited to be the guest host or commenting guest at some domestic authoritative academic forums including China Strategic Management Scholar Forum(2016), Forum on Case-based and Qualitative Research in Business Administration in China (2018), China·Practice·Management Forum (2018), Chinese Enterprises International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference for a New Era (2019), etc. He was the convener of the sub-forum of the Second MBA College Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Development Forum and the Eighth National Symposium on Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education. He conducted management of consultants and independent directors for many companies.
He has presided over a number of subjects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Humanities and Social Science Foundation of the Ministry of Education, and the Shandong Provincial Social Science Foundation, etc. He has published 2 academic monographs such as Spin-off Entrepreneurship and 2 academic translations such as the Design of Business. He has published over 60 papers at important journals and authoritative media including at Nankai Business Review, Journal of Management Science, Chinese Journal of Management, Business Management Journal , Foreign Economics and Management and Guangming Daily, of which 6 were copied by the printed material of Renmin University of China in full texts; he is one of the earliest domestic scholars to use grounded theory research methods to study management issues with extensive academic influence in the field of spin-off entrepreneurship and grounded methods. His paper named Mengniu’s Rapid Growth Model and its Influencing Factors-the Application of Grounded Theoretical Research has been cited 280 times, and the Analysis of the Application of Grounded Theoretical Methods in Scientific Research was cited 225 times; he was invited to give academic lectures by Nanjing University, Nankai University, Shandong University, Lanzhou University, Northeastern University, Inner Mongolia University, Guangxi University , Nanjing Audit University, Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, Henan Polytechnic University, etc. His MBA teaching case Diverse Spin-off Entrepreneurship and Diversified Development (Case Number: STR-0841) was listed in China Management Case-Sharing Center. He was the anonymous reviewer or communication reviewer of PhD and master thesis of Nankai Business Review, Chinese Journal of Management, Foreign Economics and Management, IACM, China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center.
