On March 20,2025,to further promote international exchange and research collaboration,School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship invited Li Ruixue,Professor at Faculty of Business Administration, Hosei University, and Visiting Professor at Southwest Jiaotong University and Shanghai University of International Business and Economics,to present an insightful lecture titled Innovation Management and Japanese Enterprises. The lecture was heldin Room 321,Block Bof South Huiwen Building in Qingdao Campus.

During the lecture, Professor Li delved into multiple critical aspects of innovation management, emphasizing that innovation extends beyond technological or product breakthroughs to encompass the reconfiguration of existing technologies and resources to create new market value.He highlighted that innovation possesses characteristics such as uncertainty, wildness, and gregariousness, which render innovation management complex and challenging. Professor Li elaborated on the pivotal role of entrepreneurship in innovation management, asserting that the entrepreneurial spirit,marked by risk-taking, unwavering conviction, and willingness to commit resources,is essential for driving corporate innovation. The lecture also examined the role of patents in innovation management. While patents protect corporate innovations, their public nature may invite imitation. Companies must carefully weigh their patent applications to ensure resources are directed toward areas most conducive to innovation and growth. Professor Li concluded by emphasizing that innovation management is a systematic endeavor requiring enterprises to integrate entrepreneurial spirit, organizational environment, talent incentives, and patent strategies from multiple perspectives to achieve sustainable development and market competitiveness.
