On the afternoon of April 9,2025,the delegation from Shandong University visited Qingdao International Airport Group to hold a symposium on deepening university-enterprise collaboration. Attendees included Xing Zhanjun, Assistant President of Shandong University and Secretary of Party Working Committee of Qingdao Campus; Han Shenghao, Dean of School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Jiao Mingwei, Party Secretary and Chairman of Qingdao International Airport Group; and Yu Fei, Party Committee Member, Deputy General Manager, and President of Party Schoolof the Group.
Both Xing Zhanjun and Jiao Mingwei affirmed the preliminary achievements of the Shandong University-Qingdao Airport Joint Innovation Center. They emphasized that both institutions share a highly aligned development vision and mission of pursuing world-class, domestically leading standards. Moving forward, they will further synergize efforts to advance university-enterprise collaboration, establish a long-term demand-matching mechanism, integrate and leverage Shandong University's distinctive disciplinary resources, deepen cooperation on various AI+ civil aviation application projects, and enhance innovative talent cultivation.
During the symposium, participating units from both sides engaged in in-depth discussions. Building upon the first phase of demand-matching workshops, they will advance the establishment of a long-term demand-matching mechanism and promote scientific research collaborations in smart transportation and logistics through the Shandong Provincial Digital Economy Industry Innovation Center,Shandong University.
The SDU de legation toured Qingdao Airport Group's corporate culture exhibition hall and Air Operations Center.
Representatives from relevant units and departments of Qingdao Airport Group, including the Chief Engineer's Office, Organization Department of Party Committee, Information Management Department, and Science and Technology Innovation Center, as well as Shandong University's Service Qingdao Development Office and School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, participated in the events.
